Social Butterfly Weddings & Events

When you are planning a wedding it’s so helpful to have someone who can help you bring it all to fruition! And this last year showed how important having a dedicated planner can be. I wanted to talk to my friend Tracy about Social Butterfly Wedding and Events.

We worked together on a wedding that went through many changes before the celebration from reducing the guest list to quarantining on site.

First I asked Tracy to introduce herself and share about Social Butterfly Wedding and Events (she is even more awesome than I knew!)

“I am a person who loves Love! I am helpful, kind, and supportive and I sincerely want the best for everyone!

I looove cats and dogs and I will always stop to pet them. I also love to cook for my family and friends while listening to True Crime podcasts! I enjoy theatre, warm weather, road trips, and food!”

Who is your ideal client?

“Anyone who wants to get married and wants to enjoy their day and create new memories with their family and friends. My goal for each of my clients is to take the stress and worry away from them and their families.

I can be involved in helping them to research and select vendors, helping them with design ideas and determining ways to bring their ideas to fruition, and managing their budget. I create a detailed timeline for the day and I am onsite to help the other vendors with anything they may need.

I truly want my clients to have the day they envisioned and I will do just about anything to make that happen.”

Is there a question that clients forget to ask?

“Hmm…I would say it is not really a question they forget to ask, but more of something they don’t think about.. and that is having a box of food packed up to go at the end of the night. (Oh! Great idea!)

Oftentimes, clients don’t realize how much they didn’t get to eat all day. Guests are talking to them constantly and pulling them in many directions.. and it is such a whirlwind of a day that by 11 pm or midnight, they are famished.” (yes!)

Finally, how has the pandemic changed your practices? How do you feel about 2021-2022?

“I think the pandemic has sort of forced people to slow down and take a look at what is really important to them.

Some couples have found having say.. 50 guests is more important to them than having 300 guests.

As far as 2021-2022, sometimes I feel like this is going to be fine and this is just what it is now.. and other times I feel as if it is so overwhelming and confusing when we don’t have definitive answers about gathering numbers and rules. But I do have LOTS of extra masks and sanitizer added to my ‘Magic Bag’- which is my emergency bag I have at every wedding.”

I know that for myself all the constant changes can be quite challenging. How wonderful it is to have Tracy taking care of everything for you!!
