A few month’s ago I had the privilege of meeting Tom and Joan Knighton, owner’s of Blustone Vineyard .
I was on assignment for Edible Grande Traverse Magazine for their Fall Issue.
It was early in the morning and as you can see, a gorgeous day! I loved learning about grapes, the process of making wine, and Tom and Joan’s adventures.
I’m hoping to visit again this winter. They have snow shoe trails and the indoor fireplace is the best for warming up with a glass of wine.
Be sure to follow the link for the full article by Janice Binkert and shortly after publication, Blustone Vineyards won “Favorite Michigan Winery,” in a statewide contest. 8 out of 12 awards were given by the popular website, “Michigan by the Bottle.” Wins for favorite winery, reds, white, rose’, sparkling wine and dessert wines were awarded to the vineyard.
