On a cold, and snowy Monday morning, I gratefully kicked the snow off my boots, inside Rare Bird Brewery.
Warmth! and delicious brew smells, along with Tina’s lovely smile, welcomed me. I was there for an assignment. My first visit! Things were starting smoothly.
Tina Schuett is the brewer at this amazing neighborhood brewery.
Even though she had just come back from a weekend traveling, Tina explained her techniques and interests with great enthusiasm.
Topics ranged far and wide, as she is such an extraordinary person… anthropological backgrounds, Egyptian brews, “No-Fear” winter driving, and harvesting fallen trees for the beautiful tables in Rare Bird Brewery…well, I learned a lot!
Tina has created special small batches and rare brews you can’t get anywhere else.
There is a great article explaining more, in the Winter 2015 issue of Edible Grande Traverse magazine, and you can visit the Rare Bird website to see the interior of the place. Checkout their menu too! (Yum!)
I know you should go visit!
This is one clean and airy brewery!
Gotta check and recheck!
Yum! I didn’t sample this time but I will be back soon!
Thank you Tina!!!
