Forget the “rules” of a traditional wedding. Kim and Steve’s micro-wedding was all about intimacy, adventure, and the breathtaking beauty of Leelanau, Michigan. Nestled on the banks of the Crystal River, their Airbnb became a haven of love and laughter, shared only with their grown children, Steve’s mom, and their dear friends who officiated the ceremony.
I met the family at the Airbnb and I had the honor of capturing every sun-dappled moment, from the nervous excitement in Kim’s eyes to the tears of joy from Steve’s mom.
Kim, a vision in her flowing dress danced out to Steve and her family. Her joy was infectious!
Their day was a celebration of love, pure and unfiltered, set against the backdrop of a woodsy Leelanau landscape.
But the magic didn’t stop there. After exchanging vows we all walked down the block to Lake Michigan.
Kim had warned me that it might be difficult to get everyone’s attention since they all love collecting rocks but we made it work and found some great “fossil soup” stones.
It was a gorgeous day and this wasn’t just any small intimate wedding; it was an ode to the unscripted beauty of life, shared with the people who matter most.
