As a photographer, every couple has a unique story to photograph, and capturing that story through the lens is a privilege. Recently, I had the pleasure of embarking on an unforgettable adventure (we heard a bear roar in the distance!) with Alexa and Montana for their engagement photoshoot. The High Rollaway trail, nestled and overlooking the Manistee River, became the wooded backdrop for an evening filled with laughter, exploration, and love.
Alexa and Montana, like many couples, felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness about their engagement photos. They entrusted me with the task of not only capturing their love but also ensuring they felt comfortable and at ease during the process.
The key to a successful photoshoot is building a genuine connection with the couple.
From the moment we met, my priority was to create a relaxed atmosphere.
We started by chatting about their love story, shared interests, and the upcoming wedding. Gradually, the initial nervousness gave way to genuine smiles and laughter.
One of the joys of engagement photography is capturing the spontaneous, candid moments that reflect the couple’s personalities.
Alexa and Montana, now fully immersed in the experience, allowed their love to shine through naturally.
From stolen glances to shared laughter, every click of the camera immortalized their unique connection.
Photographing Alexa and Montana’s engagement was not just about creating beautiful images; it was about capturing the essence of their love.
I can’t wait to share their wedding day photos, surrounded by family and friends, as they begin the next chapter of their journey together.
