Tom contacted me about a FanTail Farm surprise proposal. He would be driving from downstate to Fantail farm in Benzie for a private sleigh ride with his girlfriend Tammy and he hadn’t been there yet.
So, I wanted to do a little location scouting first and Susan the owner was so kind to give me a tour beforehand.
I snapped some photos and sent them to Tom.. he thought he almost got busted when Tammy looked over his shoulder when he was reading the email! (Thankfully she didn’t see) The scouting helped him decide on the location to propose.
Susan gave me a time to be on the route and I parked on a side road and hiked in. I stood and waited for the sound of jingle bells.
Here they come!
Susan also set up a cover story about me. I was, “photographing the sleigh ride for a magazine”. :)
Tammy was surprised!
And she said, “Yes!”
We rode back to the barn for photos, hot cocoa, and fun.
A little hot cocoa to warm up with!
