Matt and Tarren met in college.. Dorm friends from across the hall. They made such a connection that Matt got down on one knee at the Detroit Zoo Wild Lights, right in front of the spinning globe, to promise Tarren his love and the world… She said Yes!
After months of planning, help from friends and family, lots of gorgeous DIY, everything came together in a beautiful ceremony, celebrating their spiritual connection and joined hearts. I am so happy to have been chosen to capture their special day, 4-21-18.
I asked Tarren how she felt about the whole event and what advice she would impart to future brides:
“My day started out fine… a little too early for me, but I had fun drinking Mimosa’s while getting my hair done!
Matt did his day… started out a bit rushed, having to do the last couple little things.
Throughout the day I was having a lot of fun but I definitely felt rushed, once the ceremony started I wasn’t feeling rushed anymore… I was starting to feel nervous, but excited, at the reception I felt nothing but joy!!
Matt said he felt about the same. :)
For future brides and grooms, we would recommend that you make sure you sit down and just look at everyone.
Know that everyone is there for you.
Also know that there is no way to please everyone, do your best to get around, but make sure that you both relax and have fun.”
I fully agree Tarren!
It’s your day so have fun and take in the moment. Don’t let it all fly by.
Getting to know these two over the last year, allowed me to witness such a deep love that I know it will continue to grow and flourish.
Congratulations!
Tarren and Matt were married at Buckley Tabernacle Church
The Magic Shuttle Bus took the bridal party to the reception
