Caitlin and Ross wanted an intimate and casual wedding at Iron Fish Distillery.
They booked their July date in February and we got to know each other along the way. This was a destination wedding so we emailed quite a bit and I did my best to answer their questions about my services.
As you can see below in the photos it turned out so lovely!
Ross and Caitlin met in grade school and dated a little in high school.
They reconnected a couple of years ago and together they are raising Caitlin’s son.
It was extremely important to C+R that everyone enjoyed the day.
Caitlin wanted to have her mom walk down the aisle with her.
Ross and Caitlin visit Michigan several times a year. They have family who live near Crystal Mountain and the two of them love to visit the upper peninsula too.
Caitlin and Ross enjoy the area so much that they wanted to get married here on vacation. With all their family and friends too!
Taylor, the wedding planner, brings an Iron Fish whiskey toast!
Since the day was planned to be more casual we photographed most of all of the group photos before the ceremony.
But Caitlin wanted a private moment with Ross before the ceremony.
I photographed a mini first look. Very quick but you see that they shared some deep tenderness.
The couple’s entourage was stunning in beautiful deep green dresses and blue shirts with blue jeans and cowboy boots.
The Iron Fish Distillery ceremony site was vibrant green as well.
A lovely rustic background for Caitlin and Ross to get married.
The ceremony was sweet.
You could feel all the love and excitement for Caitlin and Ross from their family and friends.
We gathered everyone together for a celebration group photo!
Then a five-minute getaway with their son before entering the party.
Caitlin had told me that most of their guests would have kiddos attending and how important it was to her that everyone had fun.
Food Truck sandwiches and truffle fries!
Delicious Iron Fish cocktails in abundance.
Everyone enjoyed the day!
Amazing homemade goodies from the sister-in-law.
Ross and Caitlin’s event was a wedding luncheon leaving lots of time for everyone to relax and play.
Caitlin and Ross had their first dance as a married couple.
And then their son joined in.
“Tracy was the best! She made us feel so comfortable and relaxed.
My husband does not enjoy having his picture taken so her calm and natural way of taking pictures made it so easy.
We were really happy with the way the pictures turned out, we felt like the day was captured perfectly.
We highly recommend Tracy!” ~Caitlin
I’m so thankful that I was able to be a part of your beautiful day!
I hope you come to MI and Iron Fish Distillery again soon.
Congratulations!!
