Taylor and Keenan planned their very special wedding to take place at Headlands International Dark Sky park near Mackinaw City.
We connected online and I learned all about the two of them before the big day.
The two first met in middle school and “dated” in 8th grade (they were each other’s first kiss).
They really started dating after high school though, “Which is funny because that started 6 years of long distance as I (Taylor) went to the University of Michigan and he went to Michigan State.
Throughout our relationship, we have loved camping up at Wilderness State Park.
In October 2020, when we were camping there with some friends we took a walk along the beach in the morning to go see the bridge and he just brought out the ring…I don’t remember if he said anything…we both cried.
Even though we’re turning this into a destination wedding for ourselves, (we are moving to NE!) we couldn’t imagine picking a different venue– this park means so much to us.”
The Headlands International Dark Sky Park was an amazing backdrop for so much love and Joy!
Congratulations, Taylor and Keenan!

The day started with Taylor getting ready with her friends. The entire wedding party stayed at the park for the weekend.
T+K wanted a few moments together before we started wedding entourage photos.
Then all the friends came together and we did some portraits.
Next, I headed over to the ceremony site.
There was a lite sprinkle; but nothing too rainy.
The venue has easy access for all.
Once everyone was in place the ceremony started.
Piet was a great officiant!
Taylor is so stunning!
The two of them gave each other beautiful and fun vows.
so much love!
After all the family and friends’ photos we (Taylor, Keenan, and myself) took a quick minute to walk along the shoreline.
Then it was inside to the reception!
And right into the first dance.
Their friend, Alina sang for them.
Keenan then explained that they had both their favorites for dinner a mix of Italian and Jamaican dishes. Write them an anniversary note for the table number and enjoy the cat tattoos!
“Tracy was an excellent photographer for our wedding! She sent us helpful planning documents to create a list of photos we definitely wanted, including the names and relationships of family and friends. It was easy to communicate with Tracy via email and text whenever needed. Our photos turned out excellent and we will cherish them forever. We’re looking forward to our one-year anniversary photo shoot! I’d highly recommend working with Tracy if you need a photographer in Northern Michigan.” ~ Taylor N.
