This page is a journal documenting all the incredible people I get to photograph throughout northern Michigan. I photograph weddings, families,
graduating seniors, restaurants and the great outdoors! I am excited to have you here.

Elizabeth + Terry//Frankfort//Elberta

August 14th, 2020 was a picture-perfect day for Elizabeth and Terry’s wedding in Frankfort.
I’m not going to miss the heat + mask combo anytime soon but it was easy to stay safe for everyone involved.
Later after a masked mass, we headed over to Elberta for the gorgeous outdoor reception.
The vendors and guests all created a perfect backdrop for E+T’s celebration.
We really had fun and the day flowed smoothly after so many months of uncertainties due to the pandemic. I asked Elizabeth to tell me their perspective… She gave great insights.
Enjoy!
1. HOW DID YOURS AND TERRY’S DAY START?
“Terry and I’s day started and ended great.  He played golf and I hung out with the girls.  Low key mornings are the way to go because there is no need to have added stress and feel like you need to frantically run around to get things done!

2.HOW WERE YOU FEELING?
I was excited the whole day.  The only time I was nervous was for the first look just because that was the moment that meant so much to me.  Once I saw Terry the nerves went away and it was just happiness and excitement.  I still feel like it was all just a dream.  Thank goodness for pictures because that day has so much emotion and goes by so fast you don’t even have time to take it all in.  The pictures allow us to relive it!!
3.DID YOU ENJOY WORKING WITH ME?
I cared about two things, gorgeous pictures, and a beautiful backdrop. The pictures are what I will have for the rest of my life and they are perfect.  You captured the joy and happiness that we felt and you captured the beauty of Michigan.  The pictures were incredible and your service was awesome! You were calm, organized, and down to earth.  I felt comfortable with you from the first time we started and photography was one less thing I had to worry about which was a huge relief!!
4. ANY ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES?
I am sure I could come up with lists of suggestions for people.  I was anti first look but am so happy we did it.
It helps the nerves and then for the ceremony you can truly focus on the marriage and what you are saying and not so much the nerves of OMG I am seeing him for the first time does he think I look stunning? Does he like my dress, those types of thoughts.
The other big one is that a smaller group is really the better way to go.  I originally invited 200 people to the wedding and with covid, we only had about 60.  Yes, of course, you want to share with all the friends but honestly, I felt like the day with 60 people flew by so I can only imagine how much more overwhelmed I would have thought with that many more people.
You want to be able to enjoy your wedding too. A smaller guest list helps you achieve that!!
Again you rock!!
Thanks, Elizabeth.”
