I had never been all the way out on the Leelanau peninsula to Cathead Bay before. The Novakoski family had gathered together to catch up with each other and have a few quiet moments at the cottage. The beach was lovely!
When I book family sessions I like to have a backup date in case of poor weather.. but this session we met on the only day they would all be there.
So, of course, it had to rain all day the day before and thunderstorms were moving in for our scheduled time!
We all stayed flexible and I wound up coming an hour early. Good thing because we only had 30 minutes before a big storm came across the bay.
