October 26th was the Apple Bee at Hillside Homestead.
Hosted by Susan Odom, proprietor (an amazing lady with a huge heart!), Susan and her crew spent almost nine hours creating this years batch of apple butter! (It was delicious!)
Local apples+local cider and hours and hours of cooking in the big copper pot created not only old fashioned apple butter but community as well!
People came to spend the day soaking up the late fall sunshine, exploring Susan’s gorgeous bed and breakfast, Hillside Homestead, and experience a bit of old fashioned farm living.
During the year Susan hosts classes on cooking with her wood stove, preserving, holiday cooking and more. She has several gorgeous rooms to stay in and she can create a historic dinner for you and your friends!
She is located in Suttons Bay, Mi really close to so many food and wine experiences plus the Great Lakes.
